The Manhattan Beach Civic Association Community Meeting was called to order at 8:05 p.m. by Brandon Twentymon.
PRESIDENT STATEMENT
No major updates since last meeting.
MAGOTHY MARINA
Pier was completed in-kind and was paid for by the marina.
Ralph Cattaneo stated there were no boat ties currently on the pier
◦ The board discussed the various types and locations where the ties could be installed.
Ralph Cattaneo asked if there were any measures the board could take to ensure only community members had access to the boat ramp.
◦ Various options were discussed including
Car stickers
Having a monitor stationed at the boat ramp periodically.
CLUBHOUSE
Patio Installation
◦ Current scope of work includes a large brick/paver extending out of the rear elevation and will include a retaining wall, fire pit and picnic tables
◦ Only received 1 quote so far and are trying to contact other companies to quote.
◦ Installation is estimated to be 5 – 6 days

OAK GROVE BEACH
No updates
Brandon Twentymon is scheduled to meet with attorney om mid-March
◦ 4/1/17 UPDATE – Meeting was canceled and is currently being rescheduled
MCBA WEBSITE
Still trying to determine who has ownership of the domain so the new site can be transitioned over
Mid Spring launch – Would like to have better artwork for the site
COMMUNITY DUMP
Scheduled for August 16th
Will be stationed at the American Legion
Do not need to physically monitor as long as we have a sign detailing what cannot be placed in the dumpster
GOOD OF THE ORDER
It was noted that several commercial trucks, unregistered trailers and abandoned vehicles have been parked in the street which is a code violation.
◦ MBCA is not responsible for enforcing the County/State Codes as it falls outside of the scope detailed in the by-laws
◦ MBCA will consider including a section in the next newsletter that will direct Manhattan Beach residents to the proper state/county departments if they would like to make a complaint.
Dog waste stations will be installed at the clubhouse and Cypress Beach
