A dumpster will be placed in the American Legion parking lot from May 4-6. Residents of Manhattan Beach may use this dumpster to get rid of larger items and general trash. It may not be used by ANY commercial businesses even if the owners are residents of Manhattan Beach. Here are additional rules and restrictions to be aware of:
- No concrete, dirt, mattresses, box springs or tires are allowed in the dumpster.
- No HAZMAT allowed. (Hazardous Materials – for example batteries, flammable liquids, deck stains or wet paints.)
- In the event that we manage to fill up the dumpster, we cannot add anything that rises above the top edge of the dumpster.
- In general, please avoid any items that are very heavy, such as old boat engines, cast iron, etc. as these could push us over our weight limit.
